stevie ray vaughan, ray charles, prince, um nur einige zu nennen, entfachen bei reto della torre mit 16 jahren die leidenschaft für blues, funk, r'n'b und die absolute faszination für die e-gitarre. der schweizer gitarrist mit italienischen wurzeln diplomiert jazzgitarre an der musikhochschule luzern und führt seine studien am musicians institute los angeles unter anderen bei scott henderson, allen hinds und carl verheyen weiter.
los angeles wird schon bald seine zweite musikalische heimat wo er im frühling 2013, zusammen mit jimmy haslip (yellojackets), mitchel forman, joel taylor und jeff richman sein debüt album “realize it” aufnimmt.

dieses mal in kollaboration mit dem blues titan josh smith. west coast bluesfunk geprägt von starker harmonik und eingängigen melodien. in robbie kriegers horse latitudes studio umgibt er sich wiederum mit den besten session musiker, und spielt das komplette album in drei tagen ein. die energetische nio rene (joe cocker, nikka costa) singt della torreË‹s songs, josh smith feuert gast solos ab. ebenfalls mit dabei sind
"maxayn lewis (tina turner), jv collier (the temptations), joel taylor(stanley clarke) und mitchel forman (john scofield).
